Provided below are the recommended vaccinations and preventatives for your dog's ongoing health. Although certain vaccinations may be deemed optional by some, I believe it is essential to consider these measures for the added safety and well-being of your canine companion.

Vaccinations

6-8 Weeks

Distemper, Parvovirus

OPTIONAL: Bordetella

10-12 Weeks

DHPP (Distemper, Adenovirus [Hepatitis], Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus), Lyme Disease, Leptospirosis

 

OPTIONAL: Influenza, Bordetella

16-18 Weeks

DHPP (Distemper, Adenovirus [Hepatitis], Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus), Rabies, Leptospirosis, Lyme Disease

 

OPTIONAL: Influenza, Bordetella 

12-16 Months

DHPP (Distemper, Adenovirus [Hepatitis], Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus), Rabies, Leptospirosis, Lyme Disease

OPTIONAL: Coronavirus, Bordetella

Every 1-2 Years

Heartworm Preventative

When You Are Able To Start: 6-8 Weeks

How Often: Monthly (Once a Month unless instructions say otherwise)

Recommended Heartworm Preventative: Heartgard Plus

 

Rapidly Kills: N/A

Treats & Controls: Roundworms and Hookworms

Prevents: Heartworm Disease

When You Are Able To Start: 6-8 Weeks

How Often: Every 2-3 Days (Can be Weekly or Monthly depending on the seriousness of Pest Infestation)

Recommended Flea and Tick Preventative: Wondercide

 

Rapidly Kills (within 2 Minutes = 99%, 15 Minutes = 100%): Adult Fleas

Kills (within 4 Hours = 96%, 24 Hours = 98%): Flea Larvae

Treats & Kills (within 4 Hours = 81%, 24 Hours = 100%): Adult Ticks & Nymphs

Prevents: Hatching of Flea Eggs

Repels (After 15 Minutes of Dry Time | Landings = 95%, Probes = 98%): Ticks & Mosquitoes
