ABOUT ME

Growing up surrounded by dogs, particularly Pit Bulls, I developed a deep love for them (all animals, really). In 2018, my fascination with breeding began when I encountered a Boxer breeder, a neighbor of my grandparents. Spending time with the puppies and remembering each one's name ignited my passion for raising dogs.

Fast forward to 2021, when I welcomed my first dog into my life. This significant moment led me to delve into ethical breeding practices about 5 months later, and within a month of deciding I'd like to get involved, I immersed myself in learning from mentors, conducting research on breeding, whelping, and everything in between.

In my breeding program, I am unwaveringly committed to the well-being of every dog within my care and the puppies that find their homes through my program. Honesty and transparency with Puppy Buyers are not just ideals but principles I hold dear. I believe in being open and forthcoming with information, welcoming genuine questions and providing all necessary details to ensure a smooth and informed experience for every individual involved.

Ensuring the health and long-term soundness of the Gerberian Shepsky is a central priority within my breeding program. Each dog undergoes a comprehensive health testing protocol that combines both structural evaluations and genetic screening. OFA evaluations include Hips, Elbows, Eyes (CAER), Cardiac, and Legg-Calve-Perthes, aligning with the recommended health standards established for both the German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky. Where applicable, testing is conducted with consideration toward CHIC requirements for each contributing breed.

In addition to orthopedic and clinical evaluations, all dogs are Embark DNA tested to screen for over 250 genetic health conditions, providing further insight into inherited risks and overall genetic health. To continue strengthening the program’s health standards, I am actively working toward incorporating thyroid testing as part of a more complete and well-rounded assessment.

My values and principles in breeding revolve around the sheer joy of being around and raising dogs. It's a journey fueled by passion, guided by ethical practices, and rooted in responsible breeding.

While I wasn't raised in a family of dog breeders, a family member once bred American Bulldogs when they were younger (between the age of 18-25). Dogs, to me, are not just companions; they offer a level of understanding often unmatched by others. Aannd I like dogs more than people.

My breeding program is built on the foundation of producing highly driven working/sporting dogs. These dogs are versatile, excelling in various areas of work and sports, making them invaluable companions in multiple activities.

Health is paramount in my program. I prioritize breed-specific health testing for all breeding dogs and adhere to rigorous temperament testing by professional dog trainers. This ensures that every dog, whether used for breeding, sports, or companionship, maintains a sound temperament.

I am strongly focused on work and sport disciplines such as multijoring/mushing (both short and long-distance), bitework, tracking, weight pulling, agility, dock diving, barn hunt, herding, and more. These outlets align with my goal of producing dogs that are capable, driven, and able to perform in a variety of active roles.

My approach to the Gerberian Shepsky is intentional and purpose-driven. While the name itself is often debated, the cross between the German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky is selected with clear working and sport potential in mind (within MY program anyways... I can't speak for others that breed the same cross).

This is not a casual or convenience-based pairing. Each decision is made with a focus on health, structure, temperament, and functional ability. The goal is to produce dogs that are not only versatile, but also stable, capable, and suited for real-world work and performance settings.

Staying connected with puppy owners is a priority. Through various channels, including regular Text, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Email, and Good Dog, I ensure constant communication, support, and a shared journey with the extended family of dog owners.

My commitment to responsible breeding extends beyond tests and evaluations. I believe in continuous education and mentorship. Having had amazing mentors guiding me through the intricacies of breeding over the past 3+ years, I remain dedicated to learning and staying updated with the latest information. This commitment ensures that I can provide the best possible care and breeding practices for the dogs in my program. -- 2026
