MY DAWGZ

Gerberian Shepsky

The Gerberian Shepsky is a hybrid breed resulting from the cross between the German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky. German Shepherds are large-sized breeds, with females weighing between 50 - 70 lbs and males weighing between 65 - 90 lbs. On the other hand, Siberian Huskies fall into the medium-sized category, with females weighing 35 - 50 lbs and males weighing 45 - 60 lbs. Consequently, the Gerberian Shepsky can range anywhere within these weight limits.

Both the German Shepherd and Siberian Husky are recognized as working breeds, and the combination of these breeds results in a highly active dog. Given the working nature of the Gerberian Shepsky in my breeding program, these dogs are specifically intended for working and sporting activities. Primarily, they will be involved in pulling sports such as Bikejoring, Skijoring, Canicross, Mushing (including Urban), and Weight Pulling. If they demonstrate aptitude, they may also participate in Bitework and Scentwork.

It's essential to note that Gerberian Shepskies are not suitable for families seeking a laid-back dog that requires minimal activity. They thrive in environments with very active families or those willing to engage them in various work and sports activities mentioned above to meet their physical and mental stimulation needs.
